Brent Norton

July 6, 1958 — December 9, 2021

Brent E. Norton, 63, went peacefully to be with his Heavenly Father in Santaquin, Utah on Thursday, December 9, 2021.  He will now be in the loving arms of his eternal family and son.  Brent was born on July 6, 1958, in Payson, Utah.

Brent was a jack of all trades and many depended on his craftsmanship.  He worked with his hands, could build anything, and had a knack for anything mechanical.  Throughout most of his career Brent worked at Geneva Steel. During the end of his career he became a crane operator and built power plants to cover the western United States.

Brent led a life of service and unconditional love.  Brent and Linda were sealed in the Manti, Utah Temple for all time and eternity.  This was a goal that the sweethearts had so that their family could be together forever.  He loved Linda deeply.  His example was a testament of humility that will continue to be a legacy for generations to come.  Brent was a big teddy bear and his children and grandchildren were most precious to him.  He also loved Santaquin, nature, 4-wheeling, and softball.  His passion for these things gave him purpose to enjoy retirement with his bride.  Brent was affectionately known as “Burly” to his close friends.  He never missed a chance to go out with his ZURS 4-wheeling group.

Brent was a man of few words, but when he spoke everyone listened and laughed.  He loved to tease his children and grandchildren.  His big smile, although often hidden, was a joy.  He spoke gently and loved with his whole heart  We know Brent will be waiting for us for the next adventure in heaven.  Until we meet again.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford K. and Shanna Earley Norton, and his son, Travis John Norton, and his in-laws, John G. and Jerrline M. Andersen; and survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Linda Connie Norton; his brothers Kevin Norton (Bobbie), Tony Norton (April); his sisters, Sheila Beddoes, and Bonnie Craig (Jeff) and aunt Renae Earley Reed; his son, Jason Clifford Norton (Vanessa), his son Brent Tyler Norton (Carrie), and his daughter Shayle Norton Linn (Ryley); grandchildren, Travis James Norton, Milton Cash Linn, Hadlee Mae Norton, Jacob Grayson Norton, Kayzlie Jerrline Linn, Cierra Rae Norton, and Laykin Kathleen Linn; and many nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Brown Family Mortuary, 66 South 300 East, Santaquin, Utah.  Another viewing will be held from 9:30-10:30 am on Thursday, December 16, 2021.  The funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at 11:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 15th Ward, 45 South 500 West, Santaquin, Utah.  He will be laid to rest following the funeral services at Santaquin City Cemetery.
