Kathleen "Kathy" Farra

July 8, 1950 — July 28, 2022

In the late afternoon of July 28th, 2022, our dear Kathy Farra passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack. Kathy was born in Minnesota on July 8th, 1950 to John and Clarice Reisewitz. Kathy was the oldest of 4 children and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her siblings. Kathy had her first daughter, Kym, in Utah in 1971 from a previous relationship. She met Chris Farra some years later and they were married in the Salt Lake City, Utah Temple on June 1, 1979. They were blessed with 6 more children together.

Kathy and Chris and their children lived in Genola, UT in a small home with 18 acres of land, which they rented out for pasture. The family enjoyed growing up with many different kinds of animals around the
house and out in the pasture - horses, cows, chickens, turkeys, cats, and dogs. In more recent years, Kathy had 3 indoor cats that she loved to cuddle with every evening while she watched her favorite shows.

Kathy attended Utah Valley University, earning an Associates Degree in Accounting and then a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ceramics. She was very talented and loved to work on the ceramics wheel. She also enjoyed painting, drawing, and sewing. In some of her spare time, she would also write poems and songs.

Kathy prided herself on being the best grandma in town. She spoiled her grandchildren with love and toys and couldn’t wait to spend more and more time with each of them every week. Babies were especially her favorite. Kathy relished spending time with her family. Her family was everything to her and she loved them more than anything else. She looked for any reason to call them together, whether it was for birthdays, graduations, Christmas, New Years, Easter, Independence Day, etc. She loved to spend time chatting, playing games, or having a good meal with her children and grandchildren.

Kathy was a stalwart member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in a variety of callings. She had a strong testimony of her Savior, Jesus Christ, and worked hard to do His will throughout her life. She loved the scriptures and the temple. She was a temple worker in the Payson Temple since its opening in 2015 and loved her time spent there serving the Lord.

Kathy is preceded in death by John Edward Reisewitz (father), Winnifred Clarice Marie Johnson (mother), Christopher B Farra (husband), Caleb Benjamin Farra (son), and Kymberly Michelle Rosenquist
(daughter). She is survived by her siblings, Lynn Reisewitz, Jack (Linda) Reisewitz, and Julie (Frank) Denn, as well as 5 of her children, Mark Rosenquist (son-in-law), Nathan (Ruth) Farra, Hillary (Erick) Farra-Ardmore, Daniel (Alex) Farra, Melissa (Kent) Farra-Millett, and Tim (Allison) Farra, and 6 grandchildren, Fortunato, Michella, Jacob, Rebekah, Caleb, and Lily, who will miss her so dearly.
