A Life of Faith, Love, Learning, and Service

April Ann Kyle-Bladh, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, educator, and devoted daughter of God, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2026, at the age of 86. Her life was a beautiful reflection of faith, compassion, perseverance, and an enduring love for her family and those fortunate enough to know her.

April was born on November 29, 1939, in Needles, California, to William Parker Kyle and Rose Fisher-Kyle. Throughout her life, she exemplified the values of love, service, and dedication, leaving a lasting impression on countless lives.

April married her first husband, Richard Davis, on August 19, 1960, in Los Angeles, California. Their time together was cut tragically short when Richard passed away on August 24, 1963. On January 23, 1967, April married William R. Bladh in Los Angeles, California. Together, they built a life centered on family, faith, and love. William preceded her in death on February 11, 2024.

A woman of remarkable determination and intellect, April believed deeply in the power of education. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University and went on to receive her Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Southwest Missouri State University. She furthered her education by obtaining advanced credentials as a Resource Specialist.

Teaching was far more than a profession to April; it was one of her greatest callings. She had a special place in her heart for children with special needs and dedicated her career to helping students discover their abilities, recognize their worth, and reach their fullest potential. She saw the beauty and promise in every child and loved each of her students with genuine compassion. Her influence extended far beyond the classroom, touching the hearts of students and families whose lives were forever enriched by her kindness and dedication.

April's greatest source of strength and peace was her unwavering faith in her Heavenly Father and her Savior, Jesus Christ. As a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she carried an enduring testimony of the gospel throughout her life. She found particular joy and spiritual comfort in her frequent visits to the temple, where she felt close to the Lord and found peace in His eternal promises.

Her love of family extended beyond those she knew in this life. April had a deep passion for genealogy and family history, devoting countless hours over many years to researching, discovering, and preserving the stories of generations past. Through this meaningful work, she honored those who came before her and created a treasured legacy for generations yet to come.

Above all, April cherished her role as a mother to her seven children. Her family was among her greatest blessings, and her love continued to grow through the generations.

April is survived by her six loving children: Lori Davis, William Daniel Bladh, Laura Lyn Bladh-Moe, Tonya L. Bladh-Burke, Kyle R. Bladh, and Faith Bladh-Quick. She also leaves behind 18 cherished grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, each a precious part of the family legacy she created.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husbands, Richard Davis and William R. Bladh; her cherished daughter, Richelle Davis-McDaniel; her parents, William Parker Kyle and Rose Fisher-Kyle; and her siblings.

Throughout her 86 years, April lived a full and meaningful life, enriched by treasured friendships, a love of learning, a dedication to serving others, and an abiding faith in the promise of eternal families. She had a way of making others feel valued and loved, and the kindness she shared will continue to live on in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.

While her passing brings sadness to those who love her, there is comfort in knowing that the faith she so steadfastly embraced throughout her life was rooted in the promise that families can be together forever. Her earthly journey has come to a close, but the love she gave, the lessons she taught, and the testimony she carried will remain an enduring part of her legacy.
