Barbara Lee Wilde

Barbara Lee Wilde, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on 12/22/25, leaving behind a legacy of unconditional love and kindness. Born in Provo, Utah, to Elmo and Leah Boswell, Barbara’s life was defined by her nurturing spirit and her dedication to those she held dear.

She spent much of her life in Eureka, Utah, where she built a home filled with warmth and welcome. Barbara shared a beautiful and enduring marriage with her high school sweetheart and husband of 66 years, Glen Wilde.

Together, they embraced the joys of family and the quiet peace of retirement. For over 20 years, they enjoyed their retirement years living part-time in Needles, California, soaking up the sun and making lasting memories away from the Utah winters. Nothing brought Barbara more pride or joy than her role as a matriarch. She truly loved being a wife, mother, and grandmother. Her "caring for others" wasn't just a hobby; it was her way of being in the world. Whether through a kind word, a thoughtful gesture, or simply being present, she made sure everyone in her orbit felt seen and loved.

She is survived by her sisters: Patrica (David) Redmond, Connie Stanfield, loving children: Terry (Pat) Wilde, and Diane (Jay) Schow

Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Courtney Wilde, Colby Wilde, Lindsay (Bryan) Thompson, Tyler (Tabitha) Wilde, Whitney Wilde, Wraylee Wilde, Cory Schow, and Shanna (T.J.) Hannifin.

She was also the proud great-grandmother to Tristan, Taygan, Callen, Cambria, JaiAnn, Walter, Deagon, Brody, Trinity, Melanie, Maci and Mason, each of whom brought a special sparkle to her later years.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Elmo and Leah, son Jeff Wilde, granddaughter Makenzie Raee and brother Gary Boswell

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at Stonehenge of Utah in Springville, for the professional care and kindness provided during Barbara’s stay.

A graveside service will be held at the Santaquin cemetery on Saturday January 10th at 12:00. Celebration of life will be held at a later date with her husband’s service, per their request.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you perform an act of kindness for someone in need—just as Barbara would have done.
