Betty Mosher

October 13, 1935 — January 23, 2008

Betty passed away January 23, 2008 peacefully at her home in Genola, Utah at the age of 72. Her loving husband, Jack, was by her side. Betty was born October 13, 1935 in Antioch, California to Wesley Floyd Harless and Ora Maybelle Thomas. She attended school in Antioch and in Danville, California and the Diablo Valley Jr. College in Pleasant Hill, California where she met Jack. She loved animals, raised and trained horses as a teenager and had always had at least one cat. She love to read, garden, knit and crochet. Betty was active in her church all her adult life. She served as a secretary to her bishop in Lafayette, California and as a Young Women's leader, Relief Society teacher, music director and counselor, choir member and Ward librarian to name a few. She worked with the Boy Scouts of America for the past 26 years starting as a Den Leader Coach. She worked for the Boy Scouts of America at the Provo office for 15 years. At the time of her passing she was the Eagle Scout review counselor for the young men in her area. She married Jack B. Mosher on August 27, 1955. She is survived by her husband and their three children: Heather (Scott) Holmen, Sara (Carl) Stephenson and David Mosher; 12 grandchildren: Gary C. (Amy) Darley, Kristi (Dave) Burt, Kevin B. (Koy) Darley, Laura (Levi) Delong, Alex K. Darley, Jacob S. Darley, C. Bruce (Laura) Stephenson, Curtis F. (Tess) Stephenson, Pvt. Brian W. Stephenson, Matthew A. Stephenson, Jacquelyn D. Stephenson and Jessica P. Stephenson; and six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 29th at 11:00 a.m. in the Genola LDS Chapel where friends may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will follow in the Salem City Cemetery under the direction of Holladay-Brown Funeral Home of Santaquin.
