Beula Violet Christiansen, 90, passed away October 28, 2013, in Bountiful, Utah, of natural causes.  She was born January 17, 1923 in Redmond, Utah to Erven and Annette Christensen. She married LaMar Joseph Christiansen on May 20, 1944 and they had three children. She later married Carl J. Carlson on June 20, 1964 and were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.

Beula graduated as Valedictorian of North Sevier High School and completed her studies at LDS Business School. Her life was centered around her children. She worked tirelessly as a single parent to support them. She retired after 20 years as Accounts Receivable Supervisor at Monroc. She also owned and managed the Denizay and Embassy Arms Apartments.

Volunteer work brought her great joy. Beula served as a guide at the Beehive House. She volunteered 6,381 hours at Lakeview Hospital prior to her stroke in May 2013, serving in human resources, administration, information desk, gift shop, wound care, emergency room and patient care. She was an angel of peace, love, mercy and charity.

Beula's passion was travel, both in this country and abroad. She also loved to dance, golf, read, sew and cook. She treasured relationships with her family, friends and neighbors. She was a devoted member of the LDS Church serving in ward and stake primary, young women and relief society presidencies.

Beula is survived by her children, Darla (Dieter) Engelmann of Richmond, CA, Terry (Sherri) Christiansen of Park City, UT and Rod (Teme) Christiansen of Carlsbad, CA, and her siblings, Que Christensen of Salt Lake City, UT and Tessie Metcalf of Bountiful, UT.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 30th at ll:00 am at the Centerville Park Ward, 1125 North 400 West, Centerville, UT. A viewing will be held that morning from 9:45 to 10:45 am.  Interment, Bountiful City Cemetery under the direction of Brown Family Mortuary, Santaquin.
