Bo Davis Knight, son of Austin and Starling Knight, of Santaquin, Utah was killed in a car accident on Tuesday July 8th, 2025.
Bo was born December 12th, 2006, in American Fork, Utah. His grandfather, the legend Coach Davis Knight of American Fork, was born on the 11th of December. We named our son after Bo Jackson who could do it all in the world of sports.
Bo became a legend like his grandfather but in his own way. Like Bo Jackson, he dominated in his own world of acting/theater, cheer, church, clogging, dance, education, song, family and friends.
Bo has been adored by his family and friends for eighteen years. His special, unique talents and abilities have been appreciated and applauded by all that had the chance to see him perform.
Bo’s personality and spirit run deeper than his performance on the stage. He was kind, understanding, empathetic, and extremely generous. For Bo, nurturing relationships with friends and others was very important.
It is not possible to illustrate all that someone is in so few words. For those who knew him, you know his story. You know his strength, love and kindness.
Bo loved his Father in Heaven and his Savior Jesus Christ. He always wanted to grow up too fast; perhaps deep down, he knew his time would be short. When he was younger, he asked us if he could skip the sixth grade!
He wanted a phone as soon as possible and wanted to move out of the house on his eighteenth birthday. He would work so hard to accomplish the things he wanted to do, including living on his own and working to provide for himself.
He graduated from Payson High School with a 4.0 academic score and received a full academic scholarship to the University of Utah. Bo moved back home a couple of months ago to reset and take some time off before enrolling at the University of Utah.
Our Heavenly Father is at the helm of this life. Only He knows and understands the twists and turns of life that we cannot navigate on our own.
We trust in our Heavenly Father’s Plan and lean not unto our own understanding. We know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and He atoned for the sins of all mankind. The Atonement of Jesus Christ allows us to be forgiven of our sins and to be resurrected from death unto eternal life. As a family, we know these things are true and we trust in the promises that Bo is safe with family and friends in the Spirit World. He has been called to his heavenly home to do special work, and we will feel his spirit close to our family as we prepare for the next life.
We thank everyone that has called, texted, posted online, came by the house, and donated money to our family! We are beyond humbled by your love, kindness, and generosity. Many are grieving and are feeling pain that only our Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ can understand and heal. Bo is survived by his mom (Starling), dad (Austin), sister (Sydney) and brother (Drew) Knight.
Sincerely, “The Knight Family” Austin, Starling, Sydney, Bo, and Drew Like A Rock forever!
