Carlene Eastwood

September 25, 1936 — October 8, 2018

Carlene Jasper Eastwood was born in Eureka, Utah to David and Edna Jasper on September 25, 1936.  She passed away in Salt Lake City at St. Joseph’s Villa on October 8, 2018 from complications of a prolonged battle with progressive Multiple Sclerosis.

Carlene grew up in Eureka where she married her high school sweetheart, Thomas Eastwood in 1954 and they were married 54 years until he passed away.  Her heart was always in Eureka and that is where she raised her family, but employment took her and Tom to Lehi in 1976.

She loved being an accountant and had a forty plus year career, the majority of which was spent with Centennial Development Company.  She was a member of Eureka Methodist Church, Tintic Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, as well as a Lady Shriner and a Lady Elk.  She enjoyed giving back to Veteran’s by volunteering at the Veteran’s hospital.  Carlene loved to travel and was always up for an adventure to learn about new places.

Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting, sewing, and the enjoyment of music including playing piano and attending Broadway musicals.  Besides her human family, the thing she loved most in life were her pets; dogs, cats, cows, and horses.

She always enjoyed being social but her ability to stay involved was impacted greatly by MS. For over a decade she lived in various nursing care facilities but we are happy that now she has transitioned she can walk and move as she once did.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son-in-law Chris Evans.  She is survived by children, Jana (Norman) Workman, Ronald (Valree) Eastwood, Susan Eastwood. Grandchildren; Benjamin Evans, Jeffrey Evans, Patrick Evans, Thomas Eastwood, Lacey Hepner, Annie Wallin.  Great-grandchildren:  Mackenzie, Bobbie, Chris, Forrest, Brittney, Patrick II, Jonathan, Sydney, Autumn, Faith, McKenzy.  Great-Great-Grandchildren: Jackie, Jamie.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the Brown Family Mortuary, 66 South 300 East, Santaquin where friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment, Goshen Cemetery.
