Cheryl Christensen

November 14, 1943 — February 22, 2010

Cheryl Ann Gee Christensen, 66, of Sandy returned to the loving arms of her Savior on February 22, 2010. She was born November 14, 1943 in Provo to James Alden and Florence Winnie Gee.

After graduating from Payson High School she worked at the LDS Relief Society Building in Salt Lake City. She married Michael Dennis Christensen in the Manti LDS Temple on June 5, 1965. She diligently worked and sacrificed to help her husband complete a BA Degree at BYU in 1969. She was an active member of the LDS Church throughout her life, serving in the Relief Society, Cub Scouts as a Den Mother, but dearly loved working with children in the Primary. She also loved sewing, painting, maintaining her flower gardens, and always looked forward to the hummingbirds returning in the spring. Cheryl is survived by her husband of 44 years; her children, Michele (Soderberg) (Keith) Aalbu of California, Michael (Mary) Christensen of West Jordan, Mark Christensen of Sandy, Dan Christensen of Sandy, Jeff (Lisyl) Christensen, Midvale; 13 grandchildren; a sister Judy (John) Jackson of Orem, a brother Richard (Linda) Gee of North Salt Lake, and a half sister Ann (Joseph) Brierly of Spanish Fork.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 27th at 11:00 am at the Mount Jordan Stake Center, 9331 South 300 East, Sandy. A viewing will be held Friday evening in the Stake Center from 6 to 8 pm and Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 am prior to services. Interment will be in the Santaquin City Cemetery at 2:30 pm.
