Christopher Paul Suiter of Santaquin, Utah passed away on Tuesday May 27th. He was tragically killed by a deadly aerial automotive laser strike in his beloved Army-esque Jeep Gladiator, in Payson, UT. While Chris and the Jeep were strong and well prepared, they were no match for the deadly laser strike otherwise known as being struck by another car.
Christopher was born in Olympia, Wa. on February 19th, 1975 to Robert and Cheryl Suiter. He was incredibly loved and his birth was a joyous occasion. Chris was the second oldest of seven siblings and spent his early years moving around the U.S. and even to Guam while his Dad served in the military. With lots of moves, Chris and his family spent most summers in Logan, UT. visiting family and Chris always felt that Logan was home. When Chris started his junior year of high school his family settled in Riverside, CA. He graduated from Poly High School in 1993. When he moved to Riverside he met his life long best friends, Eric Eckstrom and James Inskeep who would now tell you that they are brothers. Christopher served a mission in Utica, New York where he loved serving the Lord. He blessed the people of New York for 2 years.
Christopher met his eternal companion and true love Jennifer Anne Turner in Riverside and was married in the San Diego Temple on August 9, 1997. They went on to have 5 beautiful children. Chris’s greatest joy and most important mission in life was to love and support his family and to live as a true disciple of Jesus Christ. He knew that families are forever and did everything he could to let his wife and family know that he loved them. He was grateful for the gospel, and his membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Chris had many interests, he went to Culinary school in New York, and then also learned that computer technology was his passion. He and his wife Jenn founded a skin care company True Love Skin Care (named after their true love) where Chris was as Jenn liked to say “the back end” he handled everything behind the scenes so that Jenn “could shine”. His goal in life was to be sure that Jenn always looked good.
Chris had many interests and hobbies, mainly things that he could do with his wife and family, especially board games like Bang. Chris was an eternal learner. He loved guns, cowboy action shooting as well as the science of ballistics and loading his own ammo. He loved to study the Book of Mormon, both the history and archaeology of it. His favorite hobby was his Jeep Gladiator. He enjoyed modifying it and he loved to go Jeeping in it with his family.
While we are mourning Christopher’s death we are rejoicing and finding peace in his reunion with his son, Brian Suiter, his mother Cheryl Suiter, his grandparents Glenn and Elaine Covert and his great-grandparents Cleve and Melva Hanson. Christopher is survived by his wife, Jennifer Suiter, his daughter Emily (Alex) Hunt, his sons Sean, Scott and Jared Suiter. His father Robert Suiter. His siblings Jeremy Suiter, Matthew Suiter, Michael Suiter, Stephen Suiter, Lauren Suiter & Meleah Ekstrand and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Chris was an amazing father, husband and son. He was funny, sarcastic, loud, passionate, gave the biggest hugs and the best pep talks. He will be missed every day but we know that we will be together again. In memory of Chris we encourage you to give your family members a big hug today.
A funeral will be held on Saturday June 7th at 11:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 545 N. 200 E. Santaquin, UT. The service will also be broadcast from the Santaquin Utah North Stake YouTube Channel @sunsone2956.
