Clarice Greenhalgh Peterson passed away Friday, May 9, 2025 at her home after a week of saying goodbye to her family and friends.
Clarice was born October 26, 1930 to Albert Augustus and Nettie Chloe Tietjen Greenhalgh. She was the twelfth of thirteen children. She was raised on a farm where she learned to be a hard worker. She married Jiggs Ewell May 10, 1947 and they later divorced. She married Berk Evan Peterson October 12, 1951. They raised 5 sons. She had 16 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren with 3 more on the way.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Clarice and her family were avid hunters and fishermen and she kept right up with all of the males in the family. She served as the director of the Santaquin Seniors Center for many years. She was very involved with her sons in their youth baseball teams. In her later years she loved playing cards with the ladies at Seniors and with her grandkids and great grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Chloe, 11 of her 12 siblings, her husband Berk, three sons Larry, Bart and Twane, a daughter-in-law Jill, granddaughter Jeannie and her husband Tim. She is survived by sons Curtis (Cordie), Randy (Marilyn), daughter-in-law Kathy, and a sister Marilyn Clayson.
The family would like to thank Monique, McKenna and Deena for the loving care they provided.
A viewing will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at Brown Family Mortuary from 9:00 to 10:45 am. A graveside service will follow at the Santaquin City Cemetery at 11:00 am. There will be a family luncheon following the service at the Santaquin Downtown LDS Church, 90 So. 200 East.
