Clyde Rex Peery was born July 17, 1944 in Payson, Utah to Rex Fairless Peery and Sarah Marie Hendrickson. Clyde married Elizabeth Arlene Hanson in the Salt Lake Temple on June 21, 1968. He peacefully passed away on July 8, 2026, at the age of 81, with his loving wife and children by his side.
Clyde's greatest joy in life was his family. He treasured every opportunity to spend time with his children and grandchildren. He loved watching them grow, succeed and excel in sports, hobbies and in every other stage of their lives. Nothing made him prouder than seeing those he loved happy and thriving.
He took great pride in caring for his home, his yard and his cars. Whatever Clyde did, he believed in doing it the right way. He was hardworking, dependable, and found great satisfaction in a job well done. His care and attention to detail reflected the kind of man he was, someone who quietly showed his love through his actions and dedication.
Those who knew Clyde will remember his steady presence, his commitment to his family and the pride he took in creating a home where memories could be made.
Clyde had a great testimony of the Gospel and loved the Savior. He served a mission in the Eastern Atlantic States Mission, where he spent much of his time serving in Pennsylvania. He had several callings within the Church and loved to serve and teach.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is survived by his beloved wife Elizabeth Arlene Peery, His sons Barret Peery (Tracy) and Josh; along with five grandchildren, Kennedy, Crew, Whitton, Meyer and Cimeon.
Funeral Services will be held July 14, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Spring Lake Building, 12625 South Spring Lake Rd, Payson, Utah. A visitation will be from 9:00-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will follow the service at Santaquin City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites those who wish to honor Clyde's memory to make a donation to a missionary fund, or charity of their choice.
