Daryl F. Sames, 48, passed away November 15, 2016 in Santaquin. He was born Feb. 2, 1968 in Columbus, Ohio to Paul Edward and Carolyn M. Whitmer Sames. He married Pamela Jacobsen Jan. 16, 1990 and they later divorced. He married Hilda Contreras April 14, 1996 and they later divorced.
Daryl was a gifted athlete. He was placed in the gifted class at Maeser Elementary for academics. He fixed computers for many of his friends and relatives. He liked to party and sing “Kung Foo Fighting” with his sister Ruth. He would do anything for you and help anyone who needed money or their car fixed. He enjoyed reading books especially Stephen King. He loved to go fishing. He loved his children even though he had a lot of issues that kept him from showing it. Daryl loved movies and music especially Ozzy Osborne, Journey, Queen, Iron Maiden and AC-DC.
Daryl was preceded in death by his father and grandparents, Paul & Russell Sames, Freddie Whitmer and Kathern Housand. He is survived by his mother, Carolyn Sames, step-grandmother, Mary Newell and his siblings, Craig (Janine) Sames, Provo, Steve (Andrea) Sames, New Jersey, April (Shawn) Bryant, Arizona, Ruth Leland, Springville, Debbie Sames, Santaquin, Becky (Tracy) Hammond, California. He is also survived by his children, Dustin (Mae), Elizabeth (Aaron), Daryl, Erick and Sheradyn.
Funeral services will be Monday, Nov. 21st at 11:00 am at the Santaquin 13th Ward, 90 South 200 East, where friends may call from 9:45 to 10:45 am. Interment, Santaquin Cemetery.
