David Jensen

Our wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, David Vaughn Jensen, 60, passed away at his home in Orem, Utah November 24, 2018.

David was born to Vaughn R. and LaWana Kofford Jensen on September 14, 1958 in Cedar City, Utah. He served 4 years in the U.S. Army and was very proud of his service. On September 14, 2007 he married Wanda Mae Sumerau in Provo, Utah.

He owned and operated a roofing business for many years before retiring. He also worked for Prosper Inc. for 8 years as a salesman and loved providing a lovely home and life for his family. He enjoyed gardening, photography and traveling

He was able to complete his Bachelor’s degree in Web Design in 2015. He hoped this would set an example to his children and grandchildren to always reach for their dreams and to work hard to accomplish the best they could.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Jensen, children Angie Barber, Nikki Fawn, Sarah Santistevan; his stepchildren Angel, Andy, Alvin, Kellie and Louis Johnson. Sisters Cyndi (Ken) Barber and Tamara (Kirk) Zander and nine grandchildren.

David’s family would like to express a sincere thank you to all for the love and support provided by friends and coworkers throughout his valiant battle with cancer.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 11:00am in Orem at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints, 114 South 400 West, where friends may call from 9:00-10:30am. Interment with military honors will follow at Genola City Cemetery.
