Denver Max Lewis, age 18 on Mona, Utah passed away September 30, 2026. He was born March 30, 2008 to Justin Lewis and April Ainge.
Den grew up in Mona and was the youngest of 4 kids, plus his bonus sister Mashay. Being the baby of the family, he held a special place in everyone's heart. He kept everyone on their toes with his wild and adventurous spirit, leaving us with many unforgettable memories and stories that we will cherish forever.
Den had the best smile and even better laugh. He was happiest when riding his dirt bike. He was famous for saying "watch this" to his mom and siblings. His mom became his go-to videographer whether she volunteered for the job or not, filming his wheelies, jumps, tricks, and whatever else he could come up with that would cause his mom stress. Many of the adventures earned him a long list of injuries and surgeries after all the crashes, but somehow, that never stopped him from getting back on his bike and doing it all over again.
He loved being outdoors - shed hunting, hiking, fishing and camping were some of his favorites. His dogs had a special place in his heart, and he found joy in all the critters he came across.
Den was genuine, kind, and respectful to everyone he met. Those who knew him noticed these qualities and admired him for them. He loved people for exactly who they were.
Although Den lived life full throttle and had a lot of fun, he was also a hardworking young man. He could accomplish anything he put his mind to. At a young age, he was already becoming a jack of all trades, learning many different skills through the jobs he worked and the people who had the privilege of teaching him.
Denver is survived by his mom, April Ainge, of Mona; siblings, Dakota (Kaylee) Lewis of Nephi, CheyAnn Lewis (Nash) of Nephi, Austyn Lewis of Mona; grandparents Charlie and Julie Ainge of Beaver Dam, Arizona, Roy Lewis of Payson, Lisa Lewis of Santaquin; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his dad, Justin Lewis, who passed away just a few months before him. We find comfort in knowing they are together again.
Den taught us all something through the way he lived his life. He showed us how to live life to the fullest, to have fun, to be ourselves, to love people for who they are, and to have no regrets. He reminded us to not take life too seriously and that whenever someone go worked up over something, he was always there with his familiar, "Bro, you need to chill!"
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his memory will live on in all of us.
A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor on Thursday, October 8, 2026 from 5:30 to 8:00 pm at the Mona City Community Center, 20 West Center Street, Mona, Utah. Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate his life and the memories he leaves behind.
