Donald VanAusdal

November 25, 1941 — January 18, 2008

Donald VanAusdal, 66, of Santaquin passed away January 18, 2008 at his home with his wife and children by his side. He was born November 25, 1941 in Butte, Montana to Bruce Daniel and Elda Mary Limb VanAusdal. He served in the Army from November 1958 to February 1962. He married Nelda Thorn in Springville and they were later sealed in the Provo Temple. He was an iron worker in Wyoming for 10 years and then moved back to Utah where he worked and retired from Geneva Steel. Don liked to fish and hunt and loved being with his family. He is survived by his wife and five children, Tamra VanAusdal Stickney, St. George, Kenneth (Peggy) VanAusdal, Salem, Dyanne (Buckley) Hubert, Green River, Wyoming, Julie Warenski, Payson, Cory (Elizabeth) VanAusdal, Santaquin; 18 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, 2 sisters, Lorraine Topham, Orem, Richard (Jolene) VanAusdal, Provo, Carol (Clyde) Lassen, Provo, twin brother, Ronald (Judy) VanAusdal, Port Orchard, Washington. He was preceded in death by his mother, father and step-father, Glen L. Evans. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 23rd at 11:00 a.m. in the Santaquin LDS Chapel located at 250 South 580 East. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 6 to 8 pm and Wednesday from 9:45 to 10:45 am prior to services. Burial, Santaquin Cemetery under the direction of Holladay-Brown Funeral Home of Santaquin. The family would like to thank everyone for their love, support and prayers. A special thanks to Dr. Taylor and his staff and Tiffany and Kristy from hospice for their excellent care.
