Dorine Askelson

THE VIEWNG FOR DORINE ASKELSON WILL BE HELD AT THE SANTAQUIN STAKE CENTER, 45 SOUTH 500 WEST FROM 2:00 - 2:45 PM

With loving hearts we celebrate the life of Dorine May Askelson. Her compassion and love blessed the lives of all those who were fortunate enough to know her. Dorine passed away peacefully May 2, 2024 in Provo, Utah at the age of 87. She was the daughter of Hubert J. Callahan and Doris Anita Wood. 
Dorine's greatest joy was being a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She loved her Savior and serving those around her. Attributes that define her life include loving, kind, faithful, resilient, organized and clean. Her life was a living testament of her faith in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She loved her family, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sundays were especially great for her when her grandchildren would come over for dinner and games. She loved the holidays and time spent with family. Dorine loved her dogs. She cherished the time she spent with them and loved playing with the puppies.
Dorine is survived by her husband, David Askelson, children Alex, Max, Janet, DeLaine, Deseret and Daniel. She was blessed with 25 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son DJ Askelson, a grandson Cody Farnham, her 1st husband Richard Davis Sable and many other relatives waiting for her on the other side to welcome her to Heaven.
The name Dorine means "Gift" and she was truly a gift to us.
Dorine's family will greet friends Monday, May 6, 2024 at 2:00 pm at the Santaquin Utah Stake Center, 45 South 500 West, Santaquin. Graveside services will follow at the Santaquin City Cemetery at 3:00 pm.
