Edith Marie H. Jarvis
Our sweet mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, passed away November 18, 2025 in Payson, Utah after a brief illness.
Edith was born November 5, 1944 in Payson, Utah to Orval T. Hallett and Alice Harriet Hallett. The family moved to the Burley, Idaho area for a few years before moving back to Santaquin, Utah. She graduated from Payson High School. Then she went to Collage at BYU until she Married Joseph L. Jarvis on December 16, 1964 in the Manti, Utah temple.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in several callings throughout here life including Primary secretary for many years and as a scout leader for the younger boys. She enjoyed the genealogy work she did with the local wards.
Edith loved her children. She was always trying to help them with service to neighbors and members of the community that needed help. She had a lot of friends and family that she had helped over the years.
Edith was so happy when her boys got married and she was able to have granddaughters in the family. She really enjoyed the grandkids and great grandkids.
She is survived by her husband of over 60 years Joseph L. Jarvis, her sons Loren G. Jarvis (Lorna), Bryan J. Jarvis (Debbi), Glen O. Jarvis (Donni), John M, Jarvis (Amy), Darin R. Jarvis (Yvette), Nathan S. Jarvis (Kristena); 17 grandkids, 22 great grandkids and 5 great great grandkids. She is also survived by her younger brother Gayle Hallett (Gail Anne).
She was very happy that her boys had daughters and their families. She was really happy how after she had all boys that her sons did so well with their families. She really enjoyed the family pictures and visits with Brandon Simpson( Erika), Leslie Felder (Joseph), Amy Black (Steve), Guenevere Simpson, Breanne Dennison(Dillion), Kaylee Roberts (Jayden), Colette Jarvis, and the rest of the grandkids and their families.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 11:30 am at the Santaquin City Cemetery with a viewing at Brown Family Mortuary from 9:00 am to 11:00 am prior to services.
