Life was all about cowboys and animals for Edward. He loved his time with the animals. His first real pet was a little black chicken with white speckles, which he named Rooster. Nothing was more frustrating to a little 5-year-old cowboy (Edward) than finding his Rooster sitting on eggs. Eventually it was explained to him why Rooster was always sitting on eggs.
From early childhood, he was committed to helping in every way he could. He was almost born under a grapevine in Fruita, Colorado, which his mother was pruning, but his father was determined that they make it to the hospital. Loved from the very start, his siblings tried to make him walk before he could crawl. His favorite movie was Hatari, and his favorite actor was of course, John Wayne and Pockets (Red Buttons). He wore cowboy hat, boots, and belt, whenever he could and never turned down the chance to ride a horse. His dream was to own a ranch in the mountains where he often felt peace. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle.
Ed loved quilts and his dog Reilly. He worked hard and was very protective. He wanted to take care of his family. He loved steak and home cooked meals. He loved cars! Selling them, driving them, learning about them and dreaming from the back of his truck as he looked over the valley. He hated wasting time and wanted to live life to the fullest. He was always genuine.
He would go out of his way to talk to people and often made surprise visits to friends to drop off roses or just to let them know they were important. We are grateful for all of you who welcomed him into your homes and hearts. We know that he loved each of you.
He wrestled in High School and served a shortened mission to Lima, Peru just as Covid started. Upon returning to the U.S., his brother, Austin recruited him into sales where he excelled. He also served in the Military. He had big dreams and hopes to change the world.
Edward is survived by his Mother, Nanette Evans, and Father, Roland Evans, and his brothers and sisters: Alden & Aubrie Evans, Nora & Joel Brown, Samuel Evans, Benjamin & AnaMaria Evans, Austin & Kristen Evans, Hannah & Michael Lutes, Ja-Nel Evans, and Abigail Evans. As well as many nieces and nephews: James, Jaleena, Adelliah, Candree, Amos, Enos, Jedediah, Eliza, Alana, Nicolas, Helena, Payton, Liam, & Adam.
