"Together Forever"

Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Fern Barentsen, 91, died August 6, 2006 of pulmonary lung disease. She was born November 27, 1914, in Fairview, UT to Fred Beeley and Sarah Jane Young Gardner. She married Dell William Barentsen February 25, 1933 and they were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple Oct. 4, 1941. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints during her life and served in many positions. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will be missed greatly by each person who loved her. She was devoted to her sweetheart, Dell and her family. It was said that once she had a friend, she never forgot them. She is survived by four children: Norma Jean (Gordon) Schow, Murray; Donna (Robert) Jones, Hoodsport, WA; Pat (Lynn) Johnson, Murray; and Kathy (Jim) Sieverts, Salt Lake City; and brother Glen Gardner, Barstow, CA. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dell, son Max Dell Barentsen (Ann), son-in-law, Lynn Johnson; grandson Jeffrey Lynn Johnson; sisters Norma Jacobson, Mildred, Afton, Jean Gardner and Ruby Lee; great-great granddaughter Angel Sieverts. She was blessed with 5 children; 19 grandchildren; 57 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren. Words cannot express the love and thanks we feel for her doctor, Ann Pendo; the entire staff of Country Care Homes and the hospice nurses from Millcreek Home Health. Funeral services will be held at the West Jordan 27th Ward, 2700 West 7000 South on Wednesday, August 9th at 12:00 noon where family and friends may attend a viewing Tuesday from 6 - 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, West Jordan Cemetery.
