Glenys McKell

Glenys Blanche McKell, 79, of Tulsa Oklahoma, passed away February 26, 2021. Glenys was born August 4, 1941 to the late Michael Beveridge Christensen & Marjorie Blanche Painter. She married Lynn Heber McKell on April 21, 1961 in Salt Lake City LDS Temple. Lynn lost his best friend and the love of his life of 60 years. She grew up in Santaquin, Utah and graduated from Payson High School, then attended LDS Business College.

Glenys McKell was an active and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Glenys loved music. She played the piano and had a beautiful singing voice. She was an outstanding seamstress and enjoyed doing embroidery. She especially loved to do things with her children and grandchildren. She never missed a baptism, baby blessing, wedding, or any family gathering as she loved getting her family together. Her quiet, loving demeanor will be remembered by her family and friends. St. John's Hospital is honoring our dear wife, mother, and grandmother as an organ donor.

Glenys is survived by her husband, Lynn McKell, brother, Dennis (Carolyn) Christensen (UT), sister, Emilee Christensen (UT), children: Gary (Kristine) McKell (WA), Lynda (Dean) Rich (VA), Lisa (Richard) Poling (OK), Joel McKell (TX), Lori Pederson (OK), Janet (Josh) Shafizadeh (UT), Julie (Will) Willard (IN), 19 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Michael Beveridge Christensen & Marjorie Blanche Painter, and grandson Kevin Carlyle Rich.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 2, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home located at 9350 East 51st Street, Tulsa, OK and Wednesday, March 3, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 3640 South New Haven Avenue, Tulsa, OK. The Funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM.
Interment will be March 10, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in Santaquin City Cemetery, Utah.
