Alvin Hale Robison, beloved husband, son, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home in Genola, Utah, on May 15, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on April 28, 1955, in Payson, Utah, Hale was the cherished son of Alvin Jay Robison and Bertha Evelyn Bowles of Hanksville, Utah. He was raised in the close-knit community of Hanksville, where he developed a lifelong love for the outdoors and family traditions.
Hale graduated from Wayne High School in Bicknell, Utah, and spent his youth swimming in the Settler, riding for cattle alongside his father, uncles, and brother, and roaming the Henry Mountains—places that forever held a piece of his heart. He had a special bond with his grandmother Susie, and one of his greatest joys was hunting for arrowheads with her.
Hale served as a police officer for the town of Genola for 12 years, a role he took on with humility and dedication. He later retired from Geneva Rock after 25 years of hard work and service. Alvin lived a life of quiet faith, honoring his priesthood responsibilities with reverence and consistency. He was known for his childlike faith, his belief in the power of prayer, and his unwavering commitment to tithing.
A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Hale loved teaching Sunday School and found peace and purpose in temple worship, especially during the last months of his life. He often spoke of his desire to return to the temple as soon as he was well enough.
Hale's greatest joy came from his family. His love extended far and wide—to his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and his many in-laws. Everyone who knew him felt the depth of his affection. He had a special way of making each child feel cherished, often with a little one perched happily on his lap.
Hale is survived by his loving wife, Sheila Robison; his mother, Bertha Robison, his children: Angela (Chad) Hinckley of Provo, Utah; Amy (Clint) Wells of Santaquin, Utah; Stacy (Jamison) McPherson of Paris, Idaho; Michael (Alyshia) Robison of Spring Lake, Utah; Jessica (Russell) Davis of Santaquin, Utah and his sister, Elly (Stan) Roberts of Hanksville, Utah. He also leaves behind a legacy of 27 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren who adored him.
He was preceded in death by his father Alvin Jay Robison, his brother Keven Robison, his granddaughter Jordan Wells, and his grandson Traeden McPherson.
Hale lived a life marked by quiet strength, unshakable faith, and an endless capacity for love. He honored his parents, sustained his church leaders, and exemplified what it means to live a life of service. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday May 22, 2025 at 11:00 am at the Genola Ward Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 50 North Main Street, Genola, Utah.
