JoAnn Ferguson

JoAnn Elizabeth Jolley Ferguson, 75, passed away Friday, September 30, 2022, at her Santaquin home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 17, 1947 in Provo, Utah to Lynn Bryant Jolley and Alta Minnie Gordon Jolley. She grew up in Orem where she met her high school sweetheart, William (Bill) James Ferguson. Bill and JoAnn were married for time and all eternity on August 2, 1968 in the Logan Utah Temple.

Shortly after their marriage, they purchased a farm in Santaquin, Utah where they made their forever home. Together Bill and JoAnn worked side by side to create a beautiful life with their four daughters. She loved her daughters and cherished the special relationship she had with each of them.

JoAnn had a love and talent for perfecting her yard. She never knew when to stop working and would begin caring for her yard at sunrise, only to be found watering the flowers in her greenhouse after dark. She worked tirelessly to instill this work ethic in those she loved, teaching them the value of never stopping until the job was perfected.

She had a special relationship with each of her ten grandchildren and took great pleasure in having five boys and five girls. Some of her favorite memories were spending time with her grandchildren at Disneyland.

In her later years, JoAnn and Bill enjoyed their winters in their St. George home. She cherished every moment with Bill, taking scenic drives through Zions, dining at Brick Oven, or touring the farm on her John Deere Gator.

JoAnn was a warrior. With her husband at her side, she battled health issues for over 20 years. She was a true example of strength and determination up until her last breath.

JoAnn is survived by the love of her life, Bill Ferguson, and four children - Traci (Jay) Mecham of Mona, Utah; Trudi (Marcos) Lopez of Santaquin, Utah; Tori (Raul) Perez of Santaquin, Utah; Tiffany (TJ) Rhodes of Fielding, Utah, and her ten grandchildren. JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents and her sister LuDene Jolley Moon.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 7, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in the Santaquin North Stake Center located at 545 North 200 East, Santaquin, Utah. As per her request, no viewing will be held. Burial will immediately follow at the Santaquin City Cemetery.
