Jon James Beck, age 57 of Goshen, passed away Saturday, February 5, 2022. He was an amazing daddy and husband. Jon was born January 19, 1965, to James George and Jean Palmer Beck in Payson, Utah. He married Sheri Lynn Duke on April 10, 1987, and together they had 2 daughters Melissa and Rachelle. It was the greatest blessing in 2003, when they were sealed together as a family in the Provo, Utah temple.
Jon loved the outdoors which included hunting, fishing, and camping. He was happy when he was in the field shooting at ducks or pheasants. He was very smart about guns. Jon loved to write poems. He loved the country singer George Straight and thought of him as his hero.
Jon worked hard in every job he had and always made sure his family was taken care of. He loved his wife and daughters.
Jon had a lifelong struggle with diabetes and fought hard for a long time. His body had enough, and he was too weak to keep fighting. He always enjoyed talking to people and it was hard for him when he lost his speech. Jon struggled the last few months when he would try to communicate and wasn’t able to. Jon was lovingly taken care of by his wife, Sheri, for 34 years, and their daughters. They were taught to check his sugars and thought it was the neatest thing.
I am happy and blessed to know I will see Jon again and we will be together as an eternal family. We love you and will deeply miss you. We know that you are happy and out of pain and can talk and run freely.
Jon is survived by his wife Sheri, two daughters Melissa and Rachelle, two sisters Jackie (Mike) Newton and Joy Lynn Beck. He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, brother, and father-in-law.
