Jonathan Rodriguez

We are saddened to announce the passing of Jonathan Rodriguez, who left this Earth on May 6, 2023 at the young age of 23. Jonathan was born in Payson, Utah on August 5, 1999 to Sonia and Jose Rodriguez. He grew up with his 3 siblings: Analee, Renzo, and Katherine Rodriguez.

Those that knew Jonathan know that he was a man full of life. He married his high school sweetheart, Daisy Garcia Muñoz Rodriguez, on August 10, 2017, and had his first son, Liam Rodriguez, born on November 19, 2017. Ezio Rodriguez, his second son, was born shortly thereafter on May 14, 2019. His family, and their well-being, were his grand motivator, which led him to achieve buying his first home at the ripe age of 21, in Santaquin, Utah. He spent the next 2 years determined to create beautiful memories and a beautiful home with his family.

Jonathan worked hard, working full-time, going to school for music production, and filled his weekends with the one hobby he loved most; DJ-ing. Jonathan was known in the local dance community as Dj Nova. Starting at 13 years old, Jonathan captivated the hearts of many through his upbeat energy and his song selections. As the years went by, Jonathan gained valuable experiences which helped him evolve into the DJ he was most proud of being; DJ Jonny Hype. The last few years of his DJ career were filled with motivation, determination, and filled with the love and support of all who got to know him.

Jonathan is now survived by his wife Daisy Rodriguez, his two sons Liam and Ezio Rodriguez, his parents Jose and Sonia Rodriguez, and his siblings, Analee, Renzo and Katherine Rodriguez.

Jonathan was an immensely loved man, and is leaving a grand hole in our hearts. He will never be forgotten.
