Juanita Van Ausdal Hutchings, age 98, passed away peacefully at home on October 6, 2022 in Orangevale, California. 

Juanita is survived by her children;  Janice Hutchings Maniord (Kenneth) of Rancho Cordova, California, Joan Hutchings Munch (Ralph) of Orangevale, California, A. Jay Hutchings of Orangevale, California, Jerilyn Hutchings Johnson (Tom) of Missoula, Montana, Jill Hutchings Weathers of Orangevale, California;  grandchildren; Marci Munch Patrick, California, Eric Hutchings, Colorado, Carrie Hutchings Champagne (Rob), Missouri, Ellen Robinson Morse (Jerret), California, Jacqui Robinson, Montana, Janet Robinson, Montana, Keith Robinson (Martha), Montana, Heather Weathers, California, Josie Weathers, California,  Megan Weathers O’Malley, California; great grandchildren; Nathan Patrick, Nevada,  Zachary Patrick, California, Brieanne Hutchings Roberts (Rodney), Missouri,  Rhett Hutchings, Connecticut, T.  Courtney Eisenbeisz, Missouri,  Jade Eisenbeisz, Missouri, Corbin Eisenbeisz, Missouri, Jasmine Eisenbeisz, Missouri, Heavin Lea Pruitt (Luke), Montana, Drake Pruitt, Montana, Jesslyn Pruitt, Montana, Johnathan Robinson, Utah,  Kendyl and William Robinson, Montana, Shelby Bishop, California, Colton Morse, California, Kaysha Robinson, Montana, Elin O’ Malley, California; great-great grandchildren;     Thomas Patrick, Nevada, Olivia, Emma and Benjamin Roberts, Missouri, Paisly Morse, California, Lucas, Wacie and Jesse Whitney, Montana. She is also survived by a sister Eileen Van Ausdal Wall of Santaquin, Utah; sisters-in-law Vilia Dean Van Ausdal of Santaquin, Utah, Mary Lou Hutchings of Spanish Fork, Utah;  brother-in-law Gordon Cambridge of Cameron Park, California; and a multitude of nieces and nephews. 

Juanita is preceded in death by her husband Jack C Hutchings, parents, Robert Allen Van Ausdal and Norma Carver Van Ausdal, brothers and sisters-in-law, Alan and Marian Van Ausdal, Carl Van Ausdal, Norman and Doreen Van Ausdal, Lyle and Lana Van Ausdal, sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth Van Ausdal Wall, Fawn Wall, Dean Wall, Myrlee Van Ausdal.

Juanita was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother.  After the untimely death of her husband Jack in 1969, she worked as a school cook and for Sears Department store.  Juanita loved family time and to travel.  Her goal in later years was to see Alaska and she met that goal at age 92 on a family cruise.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and in her lifetime held several positions in the church.  Even though Juanita lived in Orangevale, California for 63 years Utah was always home to her and she longed to be there.  She was finally able to begin her return to her roots in Santaquin, Utah on October 6, 2022.

As per Juanita's request, there will be a graveside service in Santaquin City Cemetery, 300 South 100 East, Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at 11:00 am.
