Karen Dellos

Karen Elizabeth Adamson Dellos, age 87 of Orangeville, Utah passed away peacefully on August 21, 2026 in Santaquin, Utah at the home of her sister and brother-in-law, June and Roy Carroll.

Karen was born December 1, 1938 in Burley, Idaho to Lynden Stanford and Elizabeth Coltrin Adamson and lived the first 18 years of her life in Carey, Idaho where she attended the one and only school where her mother taught for many years. She was active in the high school choir, drama, band (played the trombone) and had the honor of qualifying and being chosen to attend "Girl's State" when she was a junior.

The day after graduating from high school she married her sweetheart, William (Bill) Dellos in the Idaho Falls Temple. They celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary before Bill passed away on June 23, 2026.

After Bill graduated from the University of Idaho, they lived and worked in Waitsburg, Washington, Melba, Idaho, Burley, Idaho and some 40 years in Orangeville, Utah. During these various places and years, Karen taught LDS Seminary as well as played the organ and piano for church and choirs, drove school bus and worked in the school lunch program managing the program for the Emery County School District. She worked with Bill at the LDS Bishop's Storehouse for many years. She earned her Silver Beaver award in Scouting. For many years she and Bill were deeply involved in politics with the Republican party, and with Bill's family genealogy lines involving "Germans from Russia" organization. It must be noted as well that for over 40 years Karen taught piano lessons to many, many students. Needless to say, with school, church, music and politics, and who knows what else, Karen kept herself busy and occupied with many worthwhile things. Of all the activities Karen was engaged in, she (like Bill) said her greatest joy was serving with her husband as an ordinance worker for over 20 years in the Manti, Utah temple.

Karen is survived by a daughter, Linnette (Mark) Deason, a son, Steven, 11 grandchildren; sisters, June (Roy) Carroll and Joanne (Gary) Lancaster; brothers, Phillip (Jane) Adamson and James Robert (Nina) Adamson. She was preceded in death by her husband, William, a son Scott, her parents, a brother Lyn Stanford and a sister Jeanne Pearl.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 5, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 345 West 100 North Santaquin, Utah. A viewing for family and friends will take place Saturday from 10:00 - 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment, Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
