💖 Laura Kate Sadler (1956–2025)
Laura Kate Sadler, a bright spirit known for her warmth, artistic flair, and genuine kindness, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2025, at the age of 69 in Santaquin, Utah. She was born on November 4, 1956, in Greenwich, Connecticut.
Laura spent her formative years in Connecticut, graduating from Pomperaug High School, Southbury in 1976. She was lovingly embraced by two families who deeply enriched her life. She first lived with the Quist family (Elmer, Dorothy, Lilon, Liza, Andy, Jon, and Onna), and later found her true sense of belonging with the Dray family (James, Lynne, Jennifer, and Jason) in 1983, a relationship that provided her with the perfect blend of family connection and independent social engagement.
Laura held positions at Lark Industries, Caldors, and The Gingham Rocker. She expressed her creativity through artistic window displays at The Gingham Rocker and festive table centerpieces at home—a talent she cherished and shared.
A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Laura's faith was the foundation for her daily life. She was a true social butterfly with a gift for connection, always making time for heartfelt compliments, cheerful texts, and warm hugs. She meticulously remembered the birthdays of her loved ones.
Laura embraced life with enthusiasm. Her infectious, silly sense of humor and quick wit brought joy to all who knew her. She was patriotic, celebrating the Fourth of July as her favorite holiday. She also loved her role as "Aunt," watching WWE RAW wrestling, doing puzzles, and playing Bingo. Laura loved music! She loved to sing and dance and listen to music and she knew all of the words. Her latest favorite was The Road Don’t Care by Tim McGraw and Taylor Swift.
Laura is lovingly remembered by her dad, James Dray; her sister and friend, Lilon (Quist) Dray; sister Jennifer (Dray) Long; brother Jason Dray; biological sister Garrett Sadler; and her best friend, Jana Reynolds.
She was preceded in death by her devoted mom, Lynne Dray; biological father, Julius Sadler; biological mother, Jacqueline Sadler; and biological brother, Jason Sadler.
A memorial service and luncheon will be held at the Canterbury Assisted Living EAST, 198 South 1300 East, Springville, Utah on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 11:00 a.m.
