Maria Juanita Garza, lovingly known as "TexMex", passed away October 1, 2007 in Payson, Utah. She was born April 17, 1951 in Port Isabel, Texas to Eleazar Jesse Sosa Garza and Genoveva Valdez Garza. Maria loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She especially enjoyed playing games and taking their money winning at Bingo and 31. She also loved spending time at the Senior Citizens Center every Thursday where she was treated like royalty. She is survived by her children, Lillian (Wayne) Vallejos, Miguel (Jackie) Sandoval, both of Tooele, Mimi Sandoval, Janet Sandoval, Melissa Sandoval, Adrianna Garza, all of Santaquin; 12 grandchildren; and her two dogs, Ernie and Baby. She was preceded in death by her parents and her four brothers, Jesse, Ernesto, Ramiro and Jimmy Garza. A viewing will be held at the Holladay-Brown Funeral Home, 66 South 300 East, Santaquin, on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the San Andres Catholic Church, 315 East 100 North, Payson, where family and friends will gather one hour prior.
