Masel Elder

Masel Leroy Elder left his loving family on earth and returned to his family in heaven. Born April 10, 1959 in Springville, Utah to Arthur (Butch) and Arlene Elder. He married Charlene Trotter of Cedar Fort, Utah and they had four children together. They later divorced. He later married Jackie Jarvis Eva and gained four more children.

Masel worked at Geneva for many years and then for Pacific States where he was a maintenance superintendent. He enjoyed his job and the people he worked with. He was a member of the LDS church. He loved to hunt, fish and ride his Harley motorcycle. He loved working on cars, especially his old truck. He enjoyed making things out of rod iron and teaching this to his grandsons. He kept a beautiful yard and garden that he loved to show to his grandkids.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie; children, Cody Elder, Ashley Elder, Tanya (TJ) Davis, Klay (Angie) Eva, Jared (Gina) Eva, Teresa (Jeff) Harward, Landon (Hollie) Eva; 19 grandkids and 3 great grandkids; sisters, Kalynn Elder (Charlie) Jones, Karen Lee Elder (Alan) Isaacson. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Michael Elder, a sister, Christine Elaine Elder, and his beloved son Jamie Elder.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 3rd at 11:00 am at the Santaquin 2nd Ward, 250 South 580 East. Family and friends will gather Thursday from 6 to 8 pm at the Holladay-Brown Funeral Home, 66 South 300 East, Santaquin and Friday at the church from 9:45 to 10:45. Interment, Cedar Fort Cemetery.
