Michael Singleton

December 4, 1945 — January 21, 2019

Michael John Singleton, age 73, passed away surrounded by family in Goshen, Utah on January 21, 2019.

He was born on December 4, 1945 to Mansel Grover Singleton and Esta Viola Pierce in Payson, Utah. He found and married mom, his soul mate, Caroline Marie Young on June 9, 1967 in Portland Oregon and later renewed that eternal bond, per his last request, on December 9, 2019.

John was a gentle man of great integrity, moral, values, and strength. He had a deep love for all of his family and friends. He enjoyed spending time with all of them. He loved to work and most of his career was spent as a cement finisher. He also loved fishing, hunting, and sleeping. But most of his life was devoted to his family and friends. John was always smiling, positive, a hell of a great listener, and never judged another soul.

John wanted everyone in his life to know how much they meant to him and made his life worth living. He wanted Pino to know especially how much he loved him for the love he showed since the moment he came into his life. He was not only considered a best friend to John, but also a son. He wanted mom to always remember that you were his everything. To tell his son Mike, thank you for stepping up and being there. Daughter Rose for her love. Thanks to Dixy for becoming his special angel daughter and thank you to his daughters whom stole his heart through the years, Tracy Ann Trujillo, Amy Miramontez, and Amy Moore. Also thank you Taya for renewing his eternal bond with mom and Tony for giving mom to him. A special thanks to Rose, Tony, and Leidy with help during that last night. To his daughter Micki for all her support, time, kindness, and most all her love for her dad.

Dad you have always and will always be my greatest inspiration and best friend. I am lost without you. Thank you for being my dad. I love you a whole bunch, your daughter Micki.

John is survived by his wife Caroline Singleton. Daughters Rose Marie Steele and Micki June (Pino) Escobedo. Son Michael John Singleton. Sisters Francis, Shirley, Maxine, Collete, and Sylvia. Brothers Larry (Mary) Singleton and Ivan Singleton. Grandkids Tony (Leidy) Escobedo, Angel Escobedo, Paula Escobedo, Elizabeth Escobedo, Alex Uresti, Bryanna Uresti, Shawn Steele, Tyson Steele, Daniel Steele, and Joe Steele. Great grandkids Hazel Escobedo, Kyros Escobedo, Isabella Escobedo, Elijah Escobedo, Achilles Escobedo, Selena Uresti, Kodlynn Steele, Tavian Steele, and new baby Steele. As well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Preceded in death by parents Mansel and Esta Singleton, Great Granddaughter Paula Escobedo, Son-in-law Kim Marion Steele. Sisters Arlene Barney, Mary Kathaleen Singleton, and Roma Hone. Brother and sister-in-law Bud and Carol Singleton. Brother-in-law Claude Mohler and many other loved ones.
