Patia Christensen

March 30, 1999 — January 18, 2009

Our Little Angel, Patia Lynn Christensen, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2009 at Primary Children's Medical Center from injuries sustained in a sledding accident. She was born March 30, 1999 in Payson to Donald K. & Dawn LaRee Tilby Christensen.

Patia loved life and was always happy. Her infectious smile and crystal blue eyes endeared her to everyone she met. She was the light of her family's life. She made everyday more special than the next. Her spirit was felt by everyone she interacted with. Her big brother took such good care of her always. She was truly the baby of the family and would never let us forget it. She loved to spend time with Grandma Coralee, crafting, watching TV and learning to sew all the while snacking. Grandma Marsha was pit stop on the way home for a quick hello and ice cream of all kinds. She loved to play with friends but would often choose to spend quiet time in her room being by herself coloring, making things, playing pretend or just reading. She absolutely loved school. Patia was blessed to have the most amazing teachers throughout her short life and she was touched by all of them. When summer would come she was glad for the sunshine, for swimming, camping but could not wait for August to go back to class. She loved dancing, singing, skiing, playing the piano and participating in everything. She had been part of the Foothill Cloggers for 4 years which she loved. She was a member of the Eureka Methodist Church. Patia will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Though we cannot imagine life without her we are comforted in knowing she is home and will now truly be our angel.

She is survived by her parents and her brother, Matthew, all of Eureka; grandparents, Robin and Marsha Tilby (Lyman, WY), Coralee Erickson (Eureka), Larry K. Christensen (Luning, NV), great grandparents, Bert and Ethel Hone (Mesquite, NV); and many loving and special aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. She was preceded in death by great grandparents, Carl and Zelma Tilby, Elwood and Patia Frailey, grandpa, Robert Erickson, her cousin Kayden Jensen, Travis Lindsay and Bo Driggs.

Family and friends are invited to gather Friday from 5 to 7 pm at the Holladay-Brown Funeral Home, 66 South 300 East, Santaquin. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11:00 am at the Tintic Elks Lodge in Eureka.
