Patricia Lynn Hunter

Patricia Lynn Painter Hunter was born in Payson, Utah May 31,1954 to parents Rulon Jack and Lucille Hansen Painter. Pat was number four of six siblings. She lived in Santaquin her whole life. As a young girl Pat's favorite thing was fishing on the boat with her dad. They would swim at Burraston pond and you could find her sliding on her belly down the mossy hills. She was known as the dare devil by friends and her siblings.

She attended Payson High School and graduated with the class of 1972. Right after high school she married William Ed Hunter. Together they had three children; Amy Hunter Steele, Cody Hunter, and Clint Hunter. They later divorced.

Pat spent all of her working years at Nestle and Stauffer's. She retired from there in 2015 as a cook on line 4. She made many friends along the way and had lots of stories to share about her time there.

After Pat retired she spent her remaining years with family. She especially loved spending time with her great grand kids. She loved supporting them at dance and sporting events. She enjoyed family gatherings. Her favorite thing was to cook everyone pork chops and spaghetti salad as often as possible.

Pat was a great listener, her favorite advice was to "take everything one day at a time. You can't do it all today." She was caring and became a "grandma" to many extras through the years. She was everyone's "Grandma Pat". She had the best sense of humor and was cracking jokes right to the end. In the hospital she said "Lets go, let's boogaloo. You're not going to bury me in the dark!"

Grandma Pat will be deeply missed by so many and will never be forgotten.

She is survived by her son Clint (Anita) Hunter, siblings Ellen Bullock, Doug (Janette) Painter, and Ken Painter; grandchildren Destiny (Tyler) Yates, PJ Steele, Hayden Hunter, Kennedy Hunter, Gage Hunter, and Harley Hunter; great-grandchildren Davin, Tailynn, Oaklynn Yates and Carson Ross. She was preceded in death by children Amy Hunter Steele and Cody Hunter, parents Rulon and Lucille Painter and siblings Carol Weber and Jack Painter.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 12th at 11:00 am at the Santaquin North Stake Center, 545 North 200 East, with a viewing from 10:00 to 10:45 am prior to services. Burial will be in the Santaquin City Cemetery.
