Paul Jarvis

September 28, 1947 — April 21, 2024

Paul Jarvis

Paul Eugene Jarvis was born September 28, 1947 in Santaquin, Utah to Earl and LaRue Bagshaw Jarvis.  He spent his life living in Santaquin with his 16 brothers and sisters.  Paul was known in his youth for his handsome good looks, his talent as a baseball player and for being a real cowboy. He loved working with horses, hunting, camping, and trapping with his family.  For several years he served as secretary for the Utah Fur Trappers. Dad worked many jobs including Geneva Steele until 1997, then owning his own trucking company until retirement.

On October 26, 1967, he married the love of his eternal life, Darla Rae Owens, in Evanston, Wyoming.  Soon after marrying they started their loving family. Together they had Paula (Scott) Strong, Jason (Tracy) Jarvis and Waco (Leisa) Jarvis.  Their family grew with 8 grandkids: (Destry, Brode, Justa, Creed, Arena, Boone, Sawyer, and Oaklie) and 8 great grand kids: Nassarie, Axelle, Crusik, Tinezlie, Koven, Aspen, Penellie, Beau, and soon another great grand child.

Being a Grandpa and Great Grandpa was his favorite job of all.  Having all his kids living on the same block gave him daily love from the Grands.  Each grandkid will tell you that they were Grandpa's favorite.  But anyone who came in contact with Paul became instant family to him.  He influenced many young lives.

Paul had a strong testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  On June 20,1980 he and Darla sealed their marriage for eternity in the Manti temple.  He had many church callings and loved sharing his testimony.

Paul was the 4th remaining child of his 16 siblings.  He is survived by his brother Joseph (Bev) Jarvis, and sisters Bonnie Finch and Debbie (Don) Hopes.  He was preceded in death by his other siblings, his parents, his in-laws and an infant grandson.

He will be greatly missed and leaves a whole in our hearts, but he also leaves love and many wonderful memories.
