Sandra Ostler Tafoya Wells, age 65 of Payson, Utah passed away at her home May 5, 2023. She was born November 1, 1957 in Vernal, Utah to Howard Clark and Beth Powell Ostler. Shortly after her birth, the family moved back to Nephi where they had previously lived for many years. Here she attended elementary school.
In 1965 her parents divorced and her mother and four children moved to Provo, Utah in 1966, where she finished elementary school. She loved to sing and was a member of a youth singing group "The Tax Deductions" and had the opportunity to perform on the Lawrence Welk show. She attended Jr. High at Dixon and graduated from Provo High in 1976.
Sandra married Danny Creviston and they later divorced. They had two children. She later married Manuel Steven Tafoya in Provo, Utah in 1987 and they lived in Provo for a number of years then decided to build a home in the country on West Mountain in Payson. They loved living there until Manuel died in 2016 and she moved into Payson. She later married Kennett Steven Wells on April 29, 2017.
She loved to quilt for and with her many friends. She had so many talents she loved to share with others. She loved serving in the church and community and especially loved serving in the Payson Temple.
She is survived by her husband Kennett "Steve" Wells; daughter Heidi Creviston and a son Jesse Creviston; step-mother Claudia Ostler; siblings Nanette Steed, Harold Ostler, John Ostler, George Ostler, Robinson Ostler, Jacque Richardson, Russell Birchfield, Vickki Miller; Manuel's daughters Melissa, Manadi, Cynthia, Shelly and Yvonne. She had many grandchildren that she loved.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 16th at 11:00 am at the Payson South Stake Center, 711 South 600 East, Payson, Utah. There will be a viewing Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Brown Family Mortuary, 66 South 300 East, Santaquin, Utah and on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the church prior to services. Interment will follow in the Orem City Cemetery.
