Sherry Joy Griffis Wells, went home to her Heavenly Father on September 22, 2016 from complications of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis and a yearlong fight with the disease. She passed away in the hospital surrounded by her loving family. She returned home to her parents, grandparents, 6 brothers, and 1 sister.

She was born December 18, 1945 in Vernal to Maggie May Allred Griffis and William Nathaniel Griffis. Sherry met the love of her life Kennett Steven Wells in Henderson, Nevada and were married in Las Vegas, Nevada August 26, 1972. Due to her love of the Savior and the gospel she was an instrument in his conversion to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  They were later sealed as a family for time and all eternity in the Provo Utah Temple on November 17, 1984.

Sherry is survived by her loving husband Kennett Steven, 3 children Rudy Wells, Sharon Wells, Derek (Rose) Wells, her sister LaDonna (Grady) McCullough, 11 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday September 27, 2016 at the Santaquin 13th Ward LDS Church located at 90 South 200 East, Santaquin, UT. A viewing will be held on Monday, September 26 from 6 to 8:30 pm at the Brown Family Mortuary located at 66 South 300 East, Santaquin, UT and from 9:45 to 10:45 am prior to the funeral.  Interment will take place at the Santaquin Cemetery located at 100 East 300 South, Santaquin, UT following the funeral.
