Shiree Adams

Shiree Adams, a beloved mother, daughter, sister, friend, and nurse, passed away on September 17, 2026 at the age of 46.

To know Shiree was to know a woman who loved deeply, worked hard, and continued to find reasons for hope even when life asked more of her than seemed fair. She faced challenges throughout her life that would have been difficult for anyone to bear, yet she continued moving forward with an optimism and determination that those who loved her will always remember.

Above all else, Shiree was a mother. She was the mother of five children: Logan, Jordan, Brooklyn, Trey, and Conner. Her children were the greatest loves of her life, and she never seemed to miss an opportunity to remind them of it. She told them she loved them often and without hesitation. She worried about them. She celebrated them. She wanted them to know, without question, that they mattered to her. Her love for her children was not something she kept quietly to herself. It was spoken, repeated, and shown in the countless ways she cared for them. Even through the hardest seasons of her own life, being their mother remained one of the deepest and most meaningful parts of who she was.

One of the first places that will remind our family of Shiree is Coronado, California, a place Mom truly loved. It was one of her favorite places to visit. She loved the ocean, the sunsets, and the feeling of being there. It was a place where she seemed completely at home, and some of her favorite memories were made there with her family.

When Shiree was asked about one of her favorite memories of her children, she brought up a time she asked to take pictures of them at Coronado beach while the sun was setting. They were laughing and joking around in the pictures, but Mom said these were some of her favorite pictures. At first, it might just look like a funny picture, but when we really looked at it, we realized there was so much more there. It was her children standing there, laughing, and enjoying the sunset she loved. A moment that Mom had chosen to capture because she loved that moment and the people in it.

Mom loved her kids more than anything. We know there were times when we were hard on her, times when we didn’t want to do what she wanted, and times when we didn’t understand why taking a picture or making a certain memory meant so much to her. There were even times when we didn’t want to stop and take a picture at all. But looking back now, those moments mean so much more.

Mom taught us that sometimes you have to put aside what you want in the moment and do something that will bring happiness and love to the people around you. For Mom, pictures were one of the ways she felt and shared that love. She wanted to capture her family together, the laughs, the trips, the sunsets, and even the silly moments that we might not have thought were important at the time.

Now those pictures mean everything. They are pieces of our family that we get to hold onto forever. They remind us of Mom’s love, her happiness, and the way she wanted to remember the people she loved most. We are grateful that she took those pictures, even when we didn’t want to, because now we can look back and see what she saw: her family together, making memories and sharing moments she loved.

Those memories will stay with us forever, just like Mom’s love for each of us.

Shiree found ways to smile through the pain and struggles, and push herself to become the person she desired. She worked hard to graduate school and become a nurse. She excelled and found joy while working. Her profession reflected something fundamental about her character: she cared for people. She worked hard and devoted herself to helping others, bringing compassion and perseverance to a career centered around caring for people in vulnerable moments.

Those who knew Shiree will remember her for her generosity, caring heart, her love, grit, determination, hard work, and never give up attitude. She had a remarkable ability to look toward what might still be possible, even after experiencing profound difficulty. Her life was not without hardship, but neither was it without joy, love, laughter, and hope.

Her family finds comfort in knowing that the love she gave so freely does not end with her. Her children will carry her with them, in the things she taught them, the memories they share, the pieces of her that live on in each of them, and in the love they will continue to give one another.

Shiree is survived by her four sons: Logan, Jordan, Trey, and Conner; her parents, Sue and Stanley Adams; and her siblings, Scott, Spencer, and Shawn Adams. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Brooklyn, with whom she is now reunited, together watching over their family as guardian angels.

There are people we love who leave us with the feeling that there should have been more time. More conversations. More hugs. More ordinary days together. Shiree's family and friends will carry that feeling with them, along with the immense gratitude for the time they were given.

Shiree will always be their mother, their daughter, their sister, their friend and their family.

She will remain in the hearts of those who loved her, not defined by the hardest moments of her life, but remembered for all the love she gave throughout it.

Until the day they meet again, she will remain forever their mom, forever part of their family, and forever in their hearts.

A graveside service celebrating her life will be held Friday, October 2nd at 1:00 pm at the Provo City Cemetery.
