Ted White Kenison

Ted White Kenison, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, passed away quietly at his home in Santaquin on December 24, 2025. Ted was born January 17, 1953 in Ontario Oregon, in the elevator, on the way up to the maternity ward, the 5th of 8 children born to Elburn Thomas Kenison and Alleen Vale White. His early years were spent in Emett, Idaho and Vale, Oregon, high school years were in Winnemucca, Nevada.

After high school he moved back to Ontario and was working as a farm mechanic, when he met his eternal companion, Linda. They met at an Institute Class and were married on Halloween, October 31 1975, together they raised six children. Ted spent most of his employed years working in steel fabrication and after 30 years of married life he and Linda moved to a small farm in Mona, raising alpacas and processing fiber. In 2018 they returned to Santaquin where Ted continued his love of serving family, friends and community.

A devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Ted served as an Elder and then High Priest for many years. His callings included Temple Ordinance worker, Elders Quorum President, Young Men President, High Priest Group Leader, Stake Sunday School President, Executive Secretary, Temple Laundry worker, Elders quorum Activity Committee, and most recently on the stake Temple and Family History committee.

Ted is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda, their 50th anniversary Halloween party this year was a special moment for both of them. 6 children, Jennifer (Jeremy) Bechthold, Abraham (Rachel) Kenison, Raelyn (Nate) Crawford, Alleen (Ryan) Buhl, Isaac (Guadalupe) Kenison and Matthew Kenison. 19 grandchildren and spouses and 1 great grandson… Also survived by 6 brothers, 1 sister and many nieces and nephews. He loved all his children, grandchildren and extended family, was always the quiet steady one who would be there for anyone who needed him. He loved camping with the kids when they were young and lately with the grandkids… his favorite spot the past few years has been Salt Creek in Nephi Canyon.

Viewing will be held at the Santaquin North Stake Center, 550 N 200 E, on January 1, 2026 from 6 to 8 pm and Friday morning from 9:30 am to 10:30am. Funeral will be held Friday January 2, 2026 at 11:00 am at the same location. Interment at the Santaquin Cemetery following the funeral. Family luncheon will follow at the church.
