Theda Lyle Royer Peery Thomas, age 85 of Goshen, passed away September 10, 2010 in Payson. She was born September 22, 1924 in Goshen to James Harry and Edna Fowler Peery. She married John Morris Thomas February 8, 1943 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died April 7, 2002.
Theda was member of the LDS church serving for many years as a Stake baptism coordinator. She also served in the scouting program, as a Relief Society homemaking leader and especially loved serving in the Provo Temple. She loved serving the Lord. She was a talented artist, drawing and painting. She made plaster plaques which many people purchased. She loved animals and children, baking and working in her garden.
She is survived by her children, Danny W. (Shelly) Thomas, Susan (Merrill) Oram, Mary Jane Thomas and Robert Morris Thomas; 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, 5 sisters and a great grandchild.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Sept. 15th at 11:00 am at the Elberta LDS Chapel. Friends may call at the Holladay-Brown Funeral Home, 66 South 300 East, Santaquin Tuesday 6 to 8 pm and Wednesday at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 am. Interment, Goshen Cemetery.
