Willie was also an animal lover, but his favorites will always be his dogs, Shawn and Buddy, and of course his beloved “girls”  - his chickens.

He was very active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed the many callings he served in throughout his busy career. Willie enjoyed being in the Bishopric and thoroughly enjoyed speaking at church. He had many teaching rolls at church and he became very talented at it. His classrooms would always be full of those who enjoyed his wonderful knowledge and compassion.

Willie was a dedicated and wonderful husband to his beautiful wife April who he loved with all his heart. He was a beloved father to his children and grandchildren and was a loyal friend to so many and would give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed help.

During Willie’s life journey he developed a large group of friends whom he loved dearly. He was known for his friendship, compassion, honesty, loyalty, sense of humor and joyous personality. His love for Christ was without restrictions and his loyalty to God and his Country were as solid as the Earth we live on.
