William Herman Dellos of Orangeville, Utah was born in Wells, Nevada on May 12, 1937 and passed away the Maple Dell Care Center in Payson, Utah on June 23, 2026 at the age of 89. He is preceded in death by his father Peter Dellos, mother Caroline Gohl, sister Marie Hennefer, brother Peter Dellos, and a son Scott Dellos. He is survived by his wife Karen Elizabeth Adamson, daughter Linnette (Mark) Deason of Provo, son Steven William Dellos, 10 grandchildren, and a brother David John Dellos.
Bill grew up in a little Idaho railroad town called Picabo, where his father was a railroad worker. Bill commuted 10 miles to Carey, Idaho to attend school. That is where he met Karen, while a student in her mother's 3rd grade class. Karen was the sweetheart of Bill's life. They dated during high school and were married in the Idaho Falls Temple the day after Karen graduated from high school in 1957. They recently celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary this year on May 12th.
Bill graduated from the University of Idaho with a degree in Education. He taught in Waitsburg, Washington, Melba and Burley Idaho, Emery High School in Castledale, Huntington Jr. High and Ferron Jr. High in Utah. Bill retired after 30 plus years of teaching primarily Vocational Agriculture and Biology. Bill was also actively engaged in the FFA program. Other activities that demonstrated Bill's diligence and dedication included politics, Orangeville City Council, the LDS Bishop Storehouse, and the Emery County Planning Commission. Bill was also actively involved in the German From Russian Heritage Society acting as Secretary for some years.
Of all the activities Bill was engaged in, his greatest joy was serving with his wife, Karen, as ordinance workers for over 20 years in the Manti, Utah Temple.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday July 2, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 345 West 100 North Santaquin, Utah. A viewing for family and friends will take place Thursday from 10:00 - 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment, Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
