Dee Mizera

March 3, 1947 — June 2, 2020

Dee Ann Williams Mizera, age 73 of Santaquin, passed away on June 2, 2020 from complications due to Alzheimer’s disease. Dee was born March 3, 1947 in Honolulu, Hawaii to William Harrison and Mary Helen Sims Williams.

Dee traveled all around the country as her father was in the military. She also lived in Germany for a while with her first husband, Larry Crismon and much enjoyed it there. She returned to Utah and raised her family in the Provo and Springville areas.

Dee loved sewing and opened a sewing business with her friend Beverly. She also worked at Nestle Foods until she retired. Afterwards, to keep herself busy, she worked at a bicycle manufacturing business in Payson for a while and then at Morris Quilting also in Payson until she officially retired when her memory began to fade.

Dee loved life and dancing was her passion. She and Rich would go dancing every weekend, mostly ballroom dancing but also country and line dancing. She also loved animals especially her dogs.  She raised Maltese, and kept one as her special pet. Dee also loved going out to eat, going to the movies, and rides in the mountains. She was ready for anything and always accommodating. Dee loved people and would make friends wherever she would go.

Once the disease took hold, she was very limited to what she could do. She concentrated as best as she could on reading, watching Harry Potter movies, doing word searches and her favorite game Yahtzee. Unfortunately when she was in advance stages of the disease she needed hospice care and then finally an assisted care facility. Many thanks go out to the wonderful people at Maple Creek Hospice and Payson Beehive Home for all their help and care.

She is survived by her husband Rich A. Mizera and children Chris Crismon, Chad Crismon, Carl Crismon, Connie (Crismon) Todachinnie, Caron Crismon, Cody Crismon, and Cathy (Crismon) Nicholes.
