Donna Cushing

Donna Marie Cushing, age 75 passed away on Monday, January 17th, 2022 from a long battle with lung cancer.  She was born on June 18th, 1946 in Payson Utah to Howard Greenhalgh & Lena Nielsen Greenhalgh.  She was the third of four children.  She shared a special bond throughout her life with her twin brother Donald.

She grew up in Eureka and married Kay Cushing, her high school sweetheart, on August 4th 1962.  She and Kay loved to dance and could be found at the Elks Lodge whenever a dance was held.  They continued to dance whenever they could, and they were a joy to watch.

They moved to Payson and together they raised their three children.  She loved to bowl, camp and golf.  She was always willing to go anywhere and looked forward to family gatherings and never forgot a birthday.  She loved to travel and see new places.  For several years she spent the winters in Needles, California with lots of friends and made many wonderful memories.

She absolutely loved her family and was always up for anything.  She was absolutely the best grandmother anyone could ever hope for and was so proud of her family.  She loved spending time with all of us and was such a great example of unconditional love.  Kay took such wonderful care of her as her health declined, and we are all so grateful to have witnessed his love for her.

She is survived by her husband Kay, her children Todd (Sharyl) Cushing, Chad (Shanna) Cushing, and Kimberly (Kayle) Jensen, her brother Donald (Jeanine) Greenhalgh, seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.  She also has many nieces and nephews whom she loved.

She was proceeded in death by her brother Ralph Greenhalgh, her sister Judy Villamor, her nephew Shane Willet, and her grandson Jason Cushing.

The family would like to thank Elevation Hospice for their tender care of our mom.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022 from 12:00 - 2:00 pm at the Santaquin Senior Center, 54 West 100 South.  Interment, Santaquin City Cemetery.
