December 18, 1969 ~ June 25, 2021 (age 51)

Obituary

Heidi Lynn Frandsen, cherished mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend peacefully passed Friday, June 25th. After a valiant fight with Stage IV breast cancer, she passed in her home in Santaquin, Utah surrounded by family.

Heidi was born in Mons, Belgium at NATO Headquarters. She was the second of seven children and was raised as an Army brat. Heidi was an equestrian, she competed in dressage and stadium jumping in her youth with her trusty steed "Fire". Horses remained a passion of hers throughout her life.

Her family eventually settled in Orem, UT where she attended Orem High School and Utah Valley State College. She was passionate about service and helping those in need. She settled on a career in education. She worked for Nebo School District as an ESL teacher for 18 years. She loved her students and kept in touch with many of them long after they left her classroom.
Heidi and her daughter Dani moved to Payson, UT in 1996 where she taught school and managed Browns Arena in Payson. During this time Heidi made some of her dearest and most cherished friendships. She put on jackpot ropings and coached for the South Utah County Hight School Rodeo Team. Heidi and Dani spent many treasured hours in the cab of a truck traveling for rodeos.
She was a talented floral designer, and spent many years working in shops around Utah Valley, including Karen's Floral Designs. She loved to be able to design for close friends and family. Using her talents to bless and enrich the lives of others.

Heidi was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She actively served in many capacities. She attended two wards, one in English and one in Spanish. She loved serving in the Spanish Branch/Ward and loved the members of the Ward more than you can imagine. One of her greatest joys was to attend the temple every Thursday with her mother.
In 2011, she was blessed to become a mother again, to a very special little boy, Cooper James. He gave her so much happiness and adventure in her final years on this earth. Cooper has been lovingly embraced by and will join Heidi's sister, Beth's, family in her absence.

Heidi was preceded in death by her father and a daughter. She is survived by her mother Karen Phelps, daughter Dani (Hoss) Allred, son Cooper Frandsen, Grandchildren Ranger and Audra Allred, and siblings: Theresa (Grant) Echols, Amy (Brian) Stritikus, Jim (Kelly) Stritikus, Scott (Jill) Stritikus, Beth (Roger) Leuba, and Susan (Ron) Timmerman, stepmother Lorna Stritikus, step siblings George (Mary) Eddleman, Laura (Mark) Thurston, Lance (Peggy) Eddleman, Heather (James) Turner, Kaylynn (Jamie) Smeadley, and her adopted siblings Allan (Joanne) Hollenbeck and Diane (Garth) Smith.
