Obituary

James Lois Simmons, age 56 of Goshen, returned home to heaven on November 15, 2021 in Payson, Utah. James was born March 9, 1965 in Oroville, California to Dave and Sheila McDonald Simmons. He married Betty Dora Conder December 17, 1982 in Palermo, California.

James' passions in life were his family, his wife, kids, and grandkids which were his greatest joy in life. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on race cars and passing on his knowledge to his family and friends. He was free spirited, caring and loyal. If he was picking on you, then you knew that he loved you. 

James is survived by his loving wife Betty Simmons, daughter Poppy (Weston) Atwood, son Sonnyray (Shena) Simmons, daughter Summer Simmons, daughter Maqualia (Harley) Simmons, son Daniel Simmons, son Spencer Simmons, sister-in-law Penny (Tony) Todino, brother-in-law/son Mickey (Ellie) Conder, father Dave (Donna) Simmons, brother Tyler Kenyon, 23 grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, along with many more family and friends. James was preceded in death by his daughter Cherokee Simmons, sister Marie Armus, mother Sheila Kenyon, step father Richard Kenyon, mother-in-law Charolette Conder, father-in-law Ardell Conder and brother-in-law Mitch Conder. 

A special thanks to Mountain View Hospital ICU nurses and staff. 

There will be a viewing held at the Brown Family Mortuary, 66 South 300 East, Santaquin on Monday, November 22, 2021 from11:30 am to 1:30 pm. Graveside services will follow at the Timpanogos Memorial Gardens cemetery, 1000 North 400 East, Orem, Utah at 2:00 pm.
