Patrick Mintey Sr.

Patrick Norman Mintey, Sr. was born on May 25, 1947 in Pasadena, California. Pat, Sr. passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021 at the age of 74 in Springville, Utah. He is the oldest son of Leonard “Doc” Mintey and Monique Gerarden who have both previously passed away. He is survived by his wife Paula (Gromman ) Mintey, his son Patrick Jr. (Karen), and daughter Shelley (Gordon) Greer. He has 6 grandchildren, Ashley (Cliff) Scott, Patrick, III (Misti) Mintey, McKenzie (Jake) Lambson, Madison (Mark) Streb, Kelly (Nick) Coalwell, and Meghan Greer. He has 5 great grandchildren, Hazel, Slade, Atlas, Patrick IV, Patrick Michael, and 1 on the way. His brother Mike (Linda) Mintey, his sister Kathryn who has proceed him in death, his nephew Chris (Evie) Mintey and family, his half-sister Tressa Miller and many extended family members and friends.

He is a graduate of Verdugo Hills High School. He worked in the aerospace industry, for Carroll Shelby and then The Department of Corrections where he retired in 2012. He and Paula were married for 55 years. He was active in his church callings and loved to serve others. He is a great husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday October 20, 2021 at 11:00 am at Grasslands 1st Ward LDS building, 996 W. Center Street, Springville, UT 84663. Friends may greet family members prior to the services from 9:30-10:45 am. Interment, Springville City Cemetery. (The services have been moved to the address above)
