Carol Joye Downey Drage, who was a true joye to all who knew her passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer Saturday August 7, 2021. Joye was born January 28, 1958 to Ned Owen Downey and Carol Elaine Steele Downey in Payson Utah. Although we are so happy for her, words cannot begin to express how much she will be missed. Joye grew up and attended schools in Payson. She married William Joe Drage on January 27, 1979 in Las Vegas Nevada. They lived in Santaquin and raised 2 children Jake and Jaden who were her entire life until her 4 “perfect angels” East, Berk, Lukie & Huddy were born. They were everything to her.  When asked what she wanted to be remembered for she answered, “ being a mother and Grandma Joye, that's the best thing in my life.” Joye loved her family fiercely, she protected and spoiled the ones she loved. We were all blessed to have her in our corner. She was Grandma Joye to everyone, not just her own.  She worked different jobs throughout her life where she met and had many friends but her greatest accomplishment was her family. She lived for her family and loved each and everyone of them with all her heart. Joye is survived by her husband Joe, son Jake (Nicole) Drage,  daughter Jaden (Nathan) Bronson, Santaquin, Grandchildren Easton & Berkley Drage, Lucas & Hudson Bronson, brothers and sisters, Dennis (Debbie) Downey, Jeff (Valorie) Downey, Rusty (Sonya) Mountain View Wyoming, Rose (Jeff) Nyman, Kristina (Ross) Christensen, Payson,  Kelly (Tina) Downey, Nephi Utah, Lisa (Mike) Memmot, sister in law Callene (Grant) Bobo, brother in law Darrell (Annette) Drage, Payson Utah, sister in law Julie (Will) Thornton, Spanish Fork Utah and mother in law Starla Rae Drage, Genola Utah. Preceded in death, but such a wonderful reunion with her parents Ned & Carol Steele Downey, brother Dan Patrick Downey, father in law Don Drage, 4 nephews Jarod, Sterling and Eric Downey, Nathan Thorton and sister in law Sarah Downey.
